GMC Expands 2017 Canyon Lineup with Luxurious Denali, Rugged All Terrain X Versions

GMC’s smallest pickup also gains a new V6 engine-transmission combo

Two new models highlight the 2017 GMC Canyon lineup, the range-topping Denali and the off-road-inspired All Terrain X.

The Canyon Denali takes inspiration from its bigger siblings and features chrome exterior details, unique wheels, as well as exclusive interior trim and equipment.

Exterior highlights of the Canyon Denali include the signature chrome grille, 20-inch ultra-bright machined aluminum wheels with painted accents, tubular chrome assist steps, spray-on bed liner, and polished exhaust tip (V6 models only).

On the inside, the 2017 Canyon Denali features a Jet Black cabin with leather-wrapped, heated, and ventilated front seats, unique instrument panel and console trim, as well as Denali-logo sill plates and floor mats.

On top of these styling tweaks, the luxurious truck's standard equipment includes a heated steering wheel, GMC IntelliLink with Navigation and an 8-inch-diagonal color touchscreen, 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, automatic climate control, Bose premium seven-speaker audio system, and more.

The 2017 Canyon Denali also gains a new engine-transmission combo, with an all-new 3.6-liter V6 engine working with an eight-speed automatic transmission instead of the previously-available six-speed auto. The unit now delivers 308 hp and 275 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque.

The new powertrain is offered across the 2017 Canyon lineup, including the new All Terrain X package. This new pack builds on the existing All Terrain model by adding Goodyear DuraTrac P255/65R17 all-terrain tires and all-weather floor liners to features such as the off-road suspension and transfer case shield, and Hill Descent Control.

The 2017 GMC Canyon will arrive in dealerships in the fourth quarter of this year.
