Light camo leaves nothing to the imagination

Porsche will show off its new 718 Boxster Spyder later this year, but we already know what it’s going to look like courtesy of this batch of spy photos.

In these latest shots, the Spyder is almost completely undisguised – the double-bubble rear end design is quite obvious now, as is the different and quite aggressive rear bumper; it comes with a beefy diffuser protruded by unique dual exhausts.

The Boxster Spyder it’s been suggested won’t use a four-cylinder boxer engine, but a six-pot instead. It’s been speculated that it may even get a 4.0-liter non-turbo unit, or a 3.8-liter – output is expected to be at least 400 hp.

No word on when it could debut, but the Paris motor show in October could be the venue chosen. Porsche will probably start teasing it closer to its reveal when we’ll get to know what engine it uses and other tech details.
