2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Starts at $37,995 in the US

It will go on sale in January 2017

Alfa Romeo announced Giulia’s entry to the American market, also providing the long-awaited prices.

In the US, the Giulia engine line-up will only get the petrol units: the 280-hp 2.0-liter four pot, and the 505-horsepower 2.9-liter V6, both turbocharged.

Besides the entry-level trim, there are two more, further up the range: the Ti (Turismo Internazionale) and the Quadrifoglio.

Starting at $37,995, the standard Giulia comes with plenty of features as standard: leather seats (with power adjustments at the front), bi-xenon headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and LED tail lamps, a rear camera, rear parking sensors, and a 7-inch TFT display. There’s room for improvement, of course, so if you have another $2,000 to spare, you can add the Q4 all-wheel-drive system. For $1,250, you can also upgrade its exterior aesthetics with 18-inch wheels, sportier front and rear fascias, tinted windows, and black calipers.

The Giulia Ti is $2,000 more expensive than the entry-level version. For $39,995, it’ll offer you more amenities such as 18-inch wheels, wood inserts in the cabin, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, and heated steering wheel and front seats.

There are two distinctive flavors for the Ti, priced at $2,250 each. The Ti Sport brings 19-inch wheels, manual thigh extenders for the front seats, a sports leather steering wheel, and paddle shifters. The Ti Lusso package enhances Giulia’s elegance with Pueno Fiore Italian leather seats, leather-wrapped dash, accent stitching, and oak/walnut wood inserts, among other features.

For those who want more than a visually augmented Giulia, there’s a Ti Performance Pack on offer, which adds adaptive performance suspension, mechanical LSD on the rear axle and aluminum paddle shifters.

The quickest Alfa ever produced, the Giulia Quadrifoglio, starts at $72,000. Besides the 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 packing 505 hp, it comes with unique exterior styling, adjustable suspension, 19-inch wheels hiding massive Brembo brakes, carbon fiber trim, and enough push to take you from a standstill to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

The Giulia will hit US showrooms starting from January 2017. Prices shown here do not include the $995 destination fee. It may not sound cheap, but Giulia Quadrifoglio is a car to fall in love with. You can read about our experience with the BMW M3 killer here.
