Mercedes-Benz GLT Pickup, GT C, E-Class All-Terrain Will Hit Us in 2017

Oh, Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes-Benz pickup?

Mercedes-Benz fans all over the world, rejoice: your favorite brand is finally getting a pickup truck! A leaked product planning document seen by Autocar details the next cars to be launched by the brand, and the GLT is, fortunately, just one good news between many, many others.

For starters, the GLT will most probably share many things with Nissan’s NP300 Navara and Renault’s Alaskan, due to a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Renault-Nissan. We’re talking about a body-on-frame midsize truck that is more lifestyle than heavy-duty, and Mercedes’ version is the only one that could end up on the US market, though this is still debatable. One thing we can be sure about: even if the car will share some components with popular brands and will enter a market dominated by Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux, it will still be a Mercedes-Benz, with engines and trims at a premium level.

Also in the leaked plan: the new-gen E-Class Coupe, a brand new E-Class All-Terrain that will take on the Audi Allroad, and the new AMG GT C, another car to dream about (the convertible version of the amazing Mercedes-AMG GT R above). All these models will be launched in the next 12 months, and they’ll be followed by the GT facelift, the S-Class facelift, and the new generation E-Class Cabriolet. Last, but not least, two Smart models: Forfour EV and Fortwo Cabriolet EV – so two electric cars that will try to improve Mercedes-Benz’ green credentials.

Exciting times ahead, Mercedes-Benz fans!
