2017 Audi A3 Hits Dealerships in October

This fall, the refreshed A3 comes to the States. Partial prices announced

We've already talked about the cool things Audi brings on the facelifted A3 model range – the sedan, the convertible, and the more powerful S3. The buyers will now get Audi Pre Sense Front, a radar-based system providing forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. The power sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and LED taillights are also included in the standard equipment pack. All these incorporated in a slightly sharper aesthetic package.

Optionally, you can upgrade it with Audi's “virtual cockpit” (a huge display acting as the instrument cluster while screening the GPS and most of the infotainment bits the car has to offer). The optional features list now includes the MMI touch (the infotainment controller that also has a touchpad), smartphone integration, and rear cross-traffic assist.

Under the hood, you'll find the 2.0-liter Turbocharged Fuel Stratified Injection four-cylinder engine, delivering 220 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission. The sporty S3 squeezes 292 hp and 280 lb-ft from the same layout, enabling a 0-60 mph sprint of 4.7 seconds.

The A3 quattro sedan is priced at $35,150 for the Premium model while the top-of-the-line spec has a $44,100 price tag. The Cabriolet starts at $43,850 and tops out at $50,200; the S3 asks for $43,850 while the Prestige model is priced at $49,350. All prices include a $950 destination charge.

The 2017 A3 sedan, Cabriolet, and the S3 will hit the dealerships starting October. As for the front-wheel-drive entry-level guise, and the Sportback E-tron models the prices haven't been announced yet, but Audi stated they'll be updated as well for the 2017 model year.
