Final Edition Package Turns Mercedes-Benz CLS into Sportier, Better Equipped Version of Itself

Pack is actually a bundle of optional extras worth about $9,000

As the second-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS is nearing the end of its life cycle, the automaker is releasing Final Edition models for both the four-door Coupé and the Shooting Brake body styles.

For an additional cost of €8,211 in Germany (equivalent to about $9,080), customers get a sportier look and better equipment thanks to the Final Edition package that is actually a bundle of optional extras. Included in the package are the AMG Line treatment for both the exterior and interior, multi-contour seats in black leather, tinted windows, a sliding sunroof, Multibeam LED headlights, and the Direct Control sports suspension.

On the outside, the AMG Line offers a diamond radiator grille in chrome, AMG front apron with sporty air intakes, diamond lattice and chrome trim elements, AMG side sill panels as well as AMG rear apron with fake air outlets and chrome trim strip. Other exterior styling updates include stainless steel tailpipes and black 18- or 19-inch AMG multi-spoke wheels.

Inside, the dynamic look is underlined by the black leather upholstery accented with light-colored topstitching, the sports steering wheel with flattened bottom section and chrome shift paddles as well as the brushed stainless steel sports pedals. All CLS Final Edition models carry a “Final Edition” badge on the wing and matching lettering on the front floor mats.

The Final Edition models can be ordered in any paint finish available for the CLS family as well as with six different trim elements and further interior color combinations. The package is compatible with all engine variants.
