Honda Summer Clearance Event Marked with a Catmercial

Honda marketing department celebrates International Cat Day with a lot of catnip; catmercial ensues

If you belong to the People of the Internet (who isn't nowadays, right?), then you know the cat is the King of the cyberspace. Following The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's theory, 42 would be the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

Going further on that thought, I believe "42" is just a numerological rendering of the word "cat," because cats seem to be the ultimate answer for Life, the Universe and Everything. And I didn't even consume as much catnip as Honda's Marketing people did – I prefer to save it for the cats.

The result of catnip OD is a commercial with talking cats in a Honda showroom where there's only one Honda (the CR-V) on display. So … would the salescats be as sneaky as most of the salespeople? Are the talking cats really a thing nowadays? What … what should we get from this? Why are you torturing us with this, Honda? TELL US THE MEANING OF THIS!

Anyway, it's not the first nor the last time cats are featured in car commercials, but I really hope I won't be seeing talking corporate cats in the near future. That's just creepy, man.

P.S.: If you watch this clip for the second time, you'll get to hate me for what I've said here, as I do right now. Cats are irresistible and I'd love to see them in every car commercial on Earth.
