Rusty BMW i8 is Fortunately Just a Tasteless Car Pimping Exercise

No. Definitely no

Last time we checked, the primary color scheme for electric or hybrid cars involved a fair share of white and blue. Rust, however, was never part of the plan.

There comes a time when even tuners and car artisans musk ask themselves: how much is too much?

Some do, some don't. Take MetroWrapz for example, the masterminds behind this unfortunate custom BMW i8.

But don't weep just yet. They didn't let chemistry do the work because what you see is not the signature of decay.

Luckily, the oxidation pattern is here strictly for cosmetic purposes, so it doesn't wreak havoc among the hybrid's body chemical bonds.

Hopefully, it will wash off as soon as possible. The sooner, the better if you ask for my two cents.

On top of that, the offensive set of Vossen wheels does absolutely nothing to salvage the i8's appeal, which is why we'll end our plea right here.

But we're leaving these two videos below, for you to get a better angle at the rusty…situation.
