Skoda VisionS Concept Previews Upcoming Large SUV

Skoda has released the first design sketches of Geneva-bound VisionS SUV concept

At 4.70 meters in length, 1.91 meters in width and 1.68 meters in height, the VisionS study can accommodate up to six passengers and previews Skoda's upcoming production SUV that will sit above the Yeti in the manufacturer's range.

The VisionS transfers Skoda's current design language, launched in 2014 with the VisionC study, to the SUV segment – the "S" in the name stands for SUV. Skoda has only released sketches of the exterior for the moment, revealing a well-proportioned body with chiseled surfaces and a new, wide radiator grille with pronounced vertical struts.

The four sharp, high-set LED headlights are perhaps the most striking exterior detail of the VisionS while the slim taillights are united by a horizontal line that splits the tailgate in two. A diffuser that integrates two large exhaust pipes dominates the lower part.

Viewed from the side the Skoda VisionS study features a sharp tornado line spanning the entire length of the body. The angular wheel arches are a reference to the VisionS' off-road skills.

There are no sketches of the cabin yet, but Skoda says "inside traditional brand values are recreated with a large interior, here featuring three rows of seats, offering a generous space for six occupants."
