Try Not to Drool as Ferrari Details the V8 Engine Powering the 488 GTB

That’s how they should teach engineering in schools

If you were to have a conversation with Ferrari on their 488 GTB, the Italians would surely mention that the car's dynamics come for track experience and XX Programmes.

They'll also toss in a few words on how the 488 GTB is the ideal Ferrari for every level of driving skills, followed by more praise on the supercar's handling and responsiveness credentials, and blah, blah, blah.

But at some point, the engine topic will pop up, so they created a separate video for a closer look on the 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 churning out 670 hp and 760 Nm of torque, enabling the 488 GTB to blast from naught to 100 km/h in three seconds.

We would have liked more engine noise rather than all that glory-evoking soundtrack, but we fixed that with an audio track recorded inside the 488 GTB under acceleration. Enjoy!
