VW Caddy Gets More Stylish Edition 35 Version

The limited edition adds a “certain sportiness” to VW’s small van

To celebrate 35 years since the launch of the Caddy, Volkswagen will bring a special version to the Commercial Vehicles IAA 2016 in Hannover (September 22-29) called Edition 35.

Offered for both the family van and panel van body styles the limited edition brings styling tweaks as well as equipment upgrades. VW says the Caddy Edition 35 targets both the self-employed and young families who want their Caddy to look more stylish and to have a "certain sportiness."

The limited edition Caddy features exterior upgrades including a gloss black roof, machine-polished 17-inch "Madrid" alloy wheels, fully painted add-on parts and logos on door sills, doors and rear, as well as smoked taillights. Customers can choose from five exterior colors: Candy White, Cherry Red, Indium Grey, Reflex Silver or Acapulco Blue.

Inside, the VW Caddy Edition 35 gets new seat covers with carbon look, leather accents with contrasting colored stitching, as well as a "Dark Silver Brushed" decorative strip on the switch panel for the comfort functions.

As for equipment, standard features include electrically folding door mirrors, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, LED interior lighting, and the Connectivity package with a telephone interface.

The Caddy Edition 35 is available with 13 different engine/gearbox variants, ranging from the 1.0 TSI model to the 2.0 TDI, with either manual or DSG transmissions and front- or all-wheel-drive.

The limited edition small van goes on sale in Germany in November with prices starting from €22,312 for the panel van version and €26,721.45 for the family van.
