VW Details Updated Euro-Spec 2017 Beetle and Beetle Cabrio

Changes are subtle

Although it's not one of its best-selling models, VW wants to maintain the appeal of the Beetle for European customers with a small update for the 2017MY.

Therefore, the Volkswagen Beetle is now available with three trim choices, which also apply to the open top variant: Beetle, Design, and R-Line, with the latter replacing the Sport equipment line, plus the standalone Dune version.

The Beetle also features a redesigned bumper with a larger central air inlet while R-Line, Denim, and Dune offer beefed up wheel arches. Also, two new body colors join the existing palette: White Silver Metallic and Bottle Green Metallic.

On the inside, the Beetle keeps the same design, but VW decided to play with the chromatic ambiance, which means that according to each trim, the center console and the bottom steering wheel are now painted while getting the same hue on the air vents rings is optional.

Three petrol units and two diesels are available for the Beetle, with power outputs ranging from 105 hp to 220 hp.
