“Which Is the Best BMW M Car?” Answered in a Comparison Video

Choosing one between the M4, M2 and M4 GTS is not an easy task

Carfection takes three of the most desirable, pure M models money can buy at the moment to find the best modern M Car.

30 years passed from the moment the E30 M3 rocked our world, and BMW is putting the most powerful letter in the world on almost everything. Basically, there is an M model for almost every segment BMW is covering. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it dilutes the idea of pure sportiness the M3 initially promoted.

The M can transform a BMW model into a rocket, but only three can truly make it into a BMW purist list: the M2, the M4 and the M4 GTS. Well-balanced, two-door sleek coupes, with the engine in the front and rear-wheel-drive, that’s what a BMW driver wishes for. These three cars have the same layout, except their character and purpose differs a bit.

The BMW cadet M2 is as tense as an M car should be, only you’ll find its limits quite quick (and play with them as long as you want); the M4 inherits the classic "M car" image from the E92 M3 Coupe while the GTS is the hardcore, most aggressive of the M4.

Unfortunately, you won’t be given lap times in this comparison clip; but the video still gives you a good reason to spend eleven minutes watching three Ms at work.
