Audi’s USA arm stealthily unlocked the car configurator for the 2019 Audi A8 scheduled to go on sale in the fall of 2018 with a V6 engine.

For now, Audi is offering the new 2019 A8 in 3.0 TFSI V6 quattro long-wheelbase guise, but we’re told that a V8-powered version will follow suite in the summer of 2019.

The A8 L 3.0 TFSI V6 quattro relies on 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque harnessed by an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. In this configuration, the new A8 needs 5.6 seconds to reach 60 mph from a standstill and an electronically-limited top track speed of 130 mph.

As you might know by now, the twin-turbocharged V6 engine is paired to a 48-volt electric system, making the new A8 a mild hybrid. To be more precise, a 10 Ah Li-ion battery pack and a belt driven alternator assist the internal combustion engine and power the vehicle’s main features, like the infotainment system and electromechanical suspension.

The base 2019 Audi A8 offers 19-inch 15-spoke turbine wheels wrapped in 255/45 all-season tires, adaptive air suspension, a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound tech and Audi’s MMI navigation plus and Virtual Cockpit features.

Additionally, customers can opt for the 20-inch Multi-V spoked rims ($1,200), Executive Rear Seat Comfort pack ($7,550), six different Valcona leather offerings ($4,250), Cold Weather package ($800) and Executive package ($4,150). The later consists of a top-view camera system, head-up display, 22-way adjustable front seats with ventilation and massage functions and a heated four-spoke steering wheel equipped with shift paddles.

Furthermore, Audi can provide the Luxury package ($4,250) that includes the likes of ambient interior lighting, Alcantara headliner plus air ionizer and fragrance. Other amenities include Audi Care ($1,179), a Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System ($5,900), the Night Vision Assistant with pedestrian detection ($2,300) and the Rear Seat Connectivity package ($3,250).

Have your way with the Audi A8 configurator and the price tag will easily spring to north of $123,000, including the destination charge.
