2017 Genesis G90 Priced, Twin-Turbo V6 Version Starts at $68,100

Now’s the time to consider buying one

We've been calling it the S-Class' rival but standard equipment-wise, it's the most generous model in its class. And now it comes with a sticker for the 2017MY.

Developed under Hyundai's Genesis sub-brand, the G90 luxury sedan is available for the US market with two engine choices: a 365-horsepower V6 unit topped by a more powerful naturally-aspirated V8 engine with 420 hp on tap, both connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox – the only choice clients get.

However, all-wheel drive is optional and can be had on either one of the two versions, which otherwise send their resources to the rear axle.

Price-wise, the 3.3-liter V6 variant also called Genesis G90 3.3T Premium starts at $68,100, but ticking the AWD box bumps the price to $70,600.

The Genesis G90 fitted with the 5.0-liter V8 – going by the name of G90 5.0 Ultimate starts at $69,700 in RWD guise, or $72,200 with AWD.

Since we mentioned the substantial standard equipment list, here's a glimpse of what every Genesis G90 gets you: smart cruise control with Start/Stop function, front and rear parking sensors, multi-view and forward-view cornering camera, an electronic park brake with auto vehicle hold feature, dynamic bending lights with high beam assist.

On the safety side, the Genesis G90 provides standard features like lane keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
