2018 Audi A8 TDI quattro isn’t afraid of the snow, doesn’t love it either

quattro won’t work with low ground clearance

Sure, the new 2018 Audi A8 is no one’s choice for off-roading, although it is fitted with Ingolstadt’s all-wheel drive setup we know as quattro. But that didn’t stop Auditography to take a brand new A8 50 TDI for a little spin in the snow, just to stretch its muscles.

Don’t look forward to anything spectacular, though. But that’s not the only reason we brought you here. The video also offers a better look at the A8’s interior design and tech credentials, which are, after all, the car’s main selling points.

On the exterior design front, the new A8 sports HD Matrix LED and laser lights up front, while the back end is dominated by LED and OLED lighting. Two V6 engines are currently available to choose from, but Audi said two V8s will follow suite this year. When it finally debuts in late autumn, the 2018 A8 will start at €90,600 in Germany (€94,100 for the stretch-wheelbase A8 L).

And since Mercedes-Benz are allowed to run out of superlatives for the 2018 S-Class, why shouldn’t the Audi A8 enjoy the same treatment?
