2018 Audi SQ5 Enters Detroit with V6 TFSI Charisma, Runs from 0 to 60 in 5.1 Seconds

Here’s your uselessly fast crossover, because they can

Although less striking and sensibly harder to spot at Audi's NAIAS stand, the 2018 SQ5 is not to be overlooked.

Standing next to Audi's show-stopper going by the name of Q8 Concept, the new SQ5 sets foot in Detroit with a charisma-boosting turbocharged 3.0-liter TFSI engine serving a 354-horsepower plate seasoned with 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque.

Besides the quattro all-wheel drive system, Audi's SQ5 bags for the first time an adaptive air suspension setup that takes the car 30 mm closer to the tarmac and dynamic steering.

The tech offerings fall on the generous side and start with the MMI infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Google Android Auto. Even more, Audi also throws their virtual cockpit into the mix with an exclusive sport display mode.

It basically brings the tachometer and speedometer to the front and center of the screen, while adding a boost meter and a lap timer.
