Buick is introducing a second model to its Avenir lineup

It's the second model to get the Avenir badge, following the Enclave in April. As with the SUV, the 2018 LaCrosse Avenir gains styling and equipment upgrades, as well as exclusive premium materials, for a more upscale appearance and feel.

Design-wise, you'll recognize the 2018 LaCrosse Avenir thanks to its three-dimensional mesh upper and lower grille with chrome wings, Avenir script badging on the front doors, and exclusive 19-inch Pearl Nickel or available 20-inch Midnight Silver wheels.

Inside, unique details include a Chestnut color theme, embroidered first-row headrests, and Avenir-scripted sill plates. As for features, the LaCrosse Avenir offers a generous standard equipment including a 310-hp V6, nine-speed automatic transmission, navigation, Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound premium audio, as well as a panoramic moonroof.

The 2018 LaCrosse Avenir also offers a choice of available features such as Ebony interior, Intelligent Twin-Clutch AWD, Dynamic Drive Package with continuously variable real-time dampening control, and a suite of advanced safety systems.

The Avenir sub-brand is Buick's answer to customer trends, as the company has noticed people increasingly prefer more expensive versions.

"Nine out of ten LaCrosse buyers are choosing one of the top two trim levels — customers are signaling they want more from Buick. With even more content and an elegant look, Avenir adds a unique name and appearance for those who want the best of our attainable luxury."

Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC

The Buick LaCrosse Avenir will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this month, before arriving in dealerships in early 2018. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
