2018 Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition gets exclusive paint, array of goodies

There’s not much you’d want on a CTS-V that this limited edition model doesn’t have

Say hello to the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition, a limited-run model that celebrates the brand's 115-year history.

Limited to 115 units, the CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition features an exclusive smoky light gray exterior color as well as an extensive list of optional extras.

The striking paint is accented by standard illuminated door handles, dark red Brembo brake calipers, and 19-inch forged alloy wheels with Midnight Silver painted pockets. The model also features the Carbon Fiber Package which includes a carbon front splitter, hood vent, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser.

The interior welcomes passengers with Jet Black Recaro sport seats, a sunroof, a Rear Camera Mirror, the next-generation Cadillac infotainment system, and a Performance Data Recorder for those inevitable track outings.

Chances are you'll want to take the CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition to the track (or at least to a drag race) because it packs a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 producing 640 hp and 630 lb-ft (853 Nm) of torque, which gets sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed sport automatic transmission.

As with the regular CTS-V, the limited edition model features the Performance Traction Management system with five track-oriented modes (from Wet to Race) and Launch Control.

The CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition also gets the Luxury Package as standard, which includes tri-zone climate control, split-folding rear seat with armrest, heated rear outboard seating positions, power rear-window sunshade, and manual rear side-window sunshades, among other things.

Production kicks off this month, with 105 of the 115 vehicles destined for the U.S. market. Prices for the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition start at $103,885 including destination.

That's about the same price as the all-new 2018 BMW M5. Tough choice?
