2018 Ford GT ’67 Heritage edition will make you never miss a Le Mans race

Ah, limited editions, these bridges to past glory…

As if the 2018 Ford GT wasn't attractive enough as it is, Ford Performance decided to pull the legacy trick and honor the Blue Oval's famous 1967 Le Mans winner.

So what is the 2018 Ford GT Heritage edition all about?

For starters, the livery is a nod back to the race clothing worn by the 1967 GT40 Mark IV race car in Le Mans, hence the Race Red hue adorned with white stripes and the Frozen White #1 hood and door graphics.

20-inch forged aluminum wheels and, red calipers and silver rearview mirrors round-up the aesthetics on the outside.

Cockpit-wise, there's a new leather trim adorning the carbon fiber seats and red accent stitching. Also red is the seat belt webbing while the door sills and the center console are matte carbon fiber.

You can use the configurator available at FordGT.com to get a better look at the 2018 Ford GT Heritage edition, but Ford doesn't say exactly how many units they'll build, yet they do mention "limited quantities."

Speaking of the Ford GT, here's Ken Block driving one near Le Mans, asking if it can do burnouts.
