A new color will be available for the 2019 Camaro in early 2019, together with extra customization options
Chevrolet is bringing a very flashy 2019 Camaro SS show car at SEMA 2018 that wears a new body color hue dubbed Shock yellow.
Besides it, the carmaker will also display new accessories and performance parts available nationwide at Chevrolet dealers.
Chevy says these bits and bobs are designed by the same people in charge of the pony car’s appearance and were “validated to the same rigorous standards as the factory-installed components, and their installation does not void the new-vehicle limited warranty.”
SEMA 2018 visitors will, therefore, get a taste of a part portfolio that includes the likes of black wing spoiler, fuel door with exposed carbon-fiber inserts, black Camaro fender badges, cold-air induction kits (legal in 50 states), Recaro seats, Brembo six-piston front brakes and 1LE suspension components.
For 2019, the Chevy Camaro also gets new front-end styling for LS, LT and SS models. The tweaks touch on the front fascia, grille and dual headlights, as well as the hood and LED daytime running lights.
Chevy also mentions that at the rear, the 2019 Camaro gets redesigned LED taillamps with red lenses (for LS and LT models), while the likes of SS, RS and ZL1 get dark-tinted clear lenses.
The Camaro SS in particular is kitted for 2019 with the 10-speed automatic transmission with launch control and line lock. Other add-ons for the 2019 Camaro include new wheel designs, a revamped infotainment system and the Forward Collision Alert safety feature.
