7 most interesting engine swaps of 2017

How to make the ultimate sleeper cars

Engine swap is an art, and you have to know very well what you're doing. Well, these people seem to know what they're doing, as they ended up with some of the most interesting swaps out there.

The Toyota GT86 is a nice and decent sports car, but what if you'd swap its engine for a 570-hp 4.5-liter V8 from a Ferrari 458? Well, you create the ultimate drifting machine, as shown in the video at the end of the article.

But that's not all. At 1:30 in the video, you'll admire a Volkswagen Golf IV in which somebody crammed a 5.0-liter V10 engine from an Audi RS6! The little monster develops 571 hp and 650 Nm of torque and would humiliate any stock car on road. Just look at it launching from 0 to 300 km/h!

If the Golf is the ultimate sleeper, then the heavily modified Fiat 500 with a 6.5-liter V12 from a Lambo Murcielago under the bonnet is the stuff of dreams. 661 hp and 660 Nm of torque tell just part of the story, just hear this thing roar!

We'll let you discover the other engine-swapped cars on your own. Our favorite? Number 6, a Jensen Interceptor with an 8.3-liter Viper heart!
