Enter the HPE400 tuning kit
When the Ford Focus RS entered production, there were 3,100 preorders and 250,000 potential buyers used Ford's online app to configure the Blue Oval's hot hatch.
The RS has been on the market for some time now, clients are still interested, but they've been joined by tuners. Mountune, for example, already had a go at the Focus RS, taking it to 370 hp.
But Hennessey Performance stepped up and as a result, Ford's Focus RS can now be had with 405 hp and 425 lb-ft courtesy of the tuner's so-called HPE400 package.
We'll skip the exterior and interior badging and jump right to the upgrades that actually make a difference, like the new engine management software, a high-flow air filter and the stainless steel mid-pipe setup with electronic exhaust dump valve.
There's no info on performance figures, but since the Mountune-imbued Focus RS was quicker than a Porsche 911 Carrera, we can expect an even better show from the Hennessey-forged version.
