The power kit unleashes 315 hp and 450 Nm from the 2.0-liter TSI

A Skoda production model with more than 300 horsepower? There isn't one from the factory yet, but that's what tuners are for, right?

ABT Sportsline turned its attention to the Skoda Octavia RS for its latest tuning project, and the result is quite impressive.

How else would you describe a Skoda with more than 300 horsepower? In stock form, the latest-generation Octavia RS makes a respectable 230 hp and 350 Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

In fairness, Skoda also offers an Octavia RS 245 that prides itself with the title of the most potent production car from Mlada Boleslav, thanks to its 245 hp and 370 Nm of torque.

Well, ABT Sportsline's creation trumps that, with the ABT Engine Control module unleashing 315 hp and 450 Nm from the 2.0-liter TSI engine. That makes it 37 percent more powerful than the stock Octavia RS.

No specs have are available yet, but we expect the 0-100 km/h sprint to be somewhere in the region of 6 seconds — maybe a bit lower.

Modifications go beyond the power kit, as the tuning firm also fits stiffer springs to the car, bringing it 20-mm closer to the asphalt for improved handling and looks.

The Octavia RS gains new ABT ER-C 19-inch alloy wheels in the process, shod with high-performance tires sized 225/35 R19. Inside, changes are limited to a set of four ABT floor mats.

As for the color, it looks so similar to Audi's Nardo Grey that it's impossible not to think that the ABT Octavia RS gets so close to the Audi S4. As a reminder, the performance Audi is powered by a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 that makes 354 hp.

If you want the ultimate performance wagon however, the ABT RS6 "1 of 12" is what you're looking for.
