Acura NSX GT3 to Make Stylish Appearance at SEMA on Custom Trailer Towed by Matching Liveried MDX

The NSX GT3 race car will get the attention it deserves in Las Vegas

The NSX GT3 will be the star of Acura's booth at the SEMA Show this year, with the race car to be displayed atop a custom-built trailer towed by an MDX SUV.

Making its North American racing debut next year the Acura NSX GT3 race car will arrive in Las Vegas on a custom-built trailer — a collaboration between Acura Design and the Jimmy Shine Workshop.

The trailer features design cues from both Acura vehicles, including a perimeter chassis inspired by the NSX GT3's roll cage, and 20-inch accessory wheels sourced from the 2017 MDX. The running boards and rear spoiler are also references to the SUV.

Powder coated in Pearl White to match the MDX and the NSX GT3, the trailer is fully functional, featuring two hydraulic pumps powered by a 12-volt battery system that lift and lower the bed.

As for the 2017 Acura MDX that tows the trailer, it has a matching racing livery to the NSX GT3, as well as further modifications. These include a lower ride height, black-out suspension components, orange accented splitter and brake calipers, 20-inch black rims, tinted windows, and a tow package (obviously).

Also at SEMA, Acura will announce NSX GT3 driver lineups for the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge and 2017 IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship.
