Alfa Romeo Giulia Coupé coming next year to rival the BMW 4 Series

Take that with a pinch of salt for the time being

Alfa Romeo doesn’t want to wait for the Giulia hype to cool off, so a two-door version of the bellissimo sedan is on the way.

Previous rumors from February chatted about a coupé Giulia being revealed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, but it wasn’t the case. What’s more, Australia’s Motoring mentioned that the new version would be called the Giulia Sprint.

Now another report, this time from Automotive News, claims the Alfa Romeo Giulia midsize coupé is set to happen in 2018, when it would come in direct conflict with the likes of BMW 4 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupé and Audi A5.

If an Alfa Giulia coupé is indeed in the making, then the Italians are doing a top notch job at staying tight-lipped. And since so far we can only rely on pure speculation – with no sources being mentioned by neither report – there’s no point in debating over the topic.

However, Automotive News also mentions that a mid-life revamp for the four-door Giulia is due in 2020, since the model’s launch was forwarded from 2015 to 2016.
