All-New Hyundai i30 Teased ahead of Paris Motor Show Debut

First photos and video of the new i30 reveal a significant design evolution

Hyundai has released the first official photos and a video of its upcoming third-generation i30 C-segment model.

Scheduled to have its world premiere on September 7 ahead of a motor show debut in Paris in October, the all-new i30 is designed, developed and tested in Europe, just like its predecessor. That makes it an European car, according to Hyundai design boss Peter Schreyer.

As you can see from the dark photos and video released by Hyundai, the new i30 adopts the brand’s recent styling, as seen on newer models such as the Ioniq hybrid. The vehicle sports the new “Cascading” front grille as well as “natural flowing lines, refined surfaces and a sculpted body,” — in the words of Peter Schreyer himself.

Not much was disclosed about the new model, but Hyundai did say that the new i30 was designed for a “wide range of different people.” The all-new i30 promises good value for money, efficient and dynamic powertrains, as well as state-of-the-art safety and connectivity features.

That’s all we know for now, but stay tuned because the teasing campaign has just begun and more details should follow as we get closer to the i30’s world premiere.
