Become world’s fastest gamer with McLaren’s Shadow Project

This will grant you a spot in the McLaren esports team, and much more

Remember the World’s Fastest Gamer (WFG) competition? It was McLaren’s first esport initiative, and it led to discovering the brand’s simulator test driver, in the person of Rudy van Buren. Now, McLaren is at it again.

The Shadow Project is actually the sequel for WFG, one that’s been taken in-house entirely this time. The big prize is, of course, the McLaren’s esport program (that the previous year’s winner, Rudy van Buren, also entered).

There are three different platforms through which you can enter the competition. On mobile, there’s Real Racing 3; PC users have iRacing, rFactor 2 to master, and console players, Forza Motorsport 7 — which is an Xbox dedicated. Luckily, the PlayStation users have an alternative: the Gran Turismo Sport Cup.
