Black Fire Edition BMW X5 M and X6 M are asking for your soul

The only thing missing is a pair of scythes

Because nowadays some SUVs are seen as the epitome of sportiness, a racing-motorsportish-all-black-everything special edition can be easily worn by large hunchbacks like BMW's X5 and X6 M.

So, what is this Black Fire Edition? BMW's literature says it's "a variant that visualizes all the strengths of the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M." In other words, a new set of clothes and nothing more.

What will you get? The Black Fire Edition comes with a new paint job – the so-called Sapphire Black Metallic but also tweaked details like the black M double kidney grille bars and 21-inch black, of course, alloy wheels and carbon housings for the side mirrors.

What about the interior? The M seats wrapped in Merino leather with contrasting Black and Mugello Red detailing are the most visible add-on, but BMW also offers piano black trim and the multifunctional M steering wheel as standard. You can also opt for the grippy BMW M Performance Alcantara steering wheel.

Do they get more power? No, they don't. Power output for both of them stays at 575 hp (423 kW) and 750 Nm coming from a 4.4-liter V8 kept in check by the eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox and Munich's xDrive all-wheel drive system.
