BMW i3 takes the silence test in a library, ends up misbehaving

The ability to deliver power silently isn't necessarily a major selling point for an EV. Unless you let one loose inside a library like BMW did with the i3.

And no, EVs can't kill you because they are silent and can't be heard coming while you cross the street. All you need to do is stay alert and watch where you're going. As simple as that.

However, an i3 stealthily wondering inside an enormous library is a bit spooky, if not scary.

And since BMW tried to lighten up the atmosphere with a peppy song, the i3 can't help but attempt a few drifts in the middle of all those "unsuspecting" students.
