Potential? They have a lot of

In all honesty, the likes of BMW M760Li and Porsche Panamera Turbo S are overkill in the luxury sedan category: they both have way more power than you need from a fat limo. But hey, who are we to say there’s too much, right?

The BMW M760Li runs one of the few V12 units remaining in the automotive world, so this should be enough of a reason to buy one. However, if you want to know more about it, here are some numbers: the 6.6-liter unit packs 601 hp (448 kW) and 800 Nm of torque, enough for a 3.7-second 0-to-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint. Cancel the 155 mph restriction and it will keep pushing towards the 186 mph (300 km/h) mark.

In the opposite corner sits the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid, the third most powerful vehicle in the carmaker’s lineup. Sporting 680-hp (504 kW) and 770 Nm of torque by adding a 136-hp electric motor to the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, the Turbo S E-hybrid launches to 62 mph in a mere 3.4 seconds. It will continue accelerating until the 192 mph (310 km/h) maximum velocity is reached.
