Cadillac CTS-V Meets Lexus GS F in a Head 2 Head Comparison

So what would you choose between a pumped-up Caddy and a savvy Japanese super-sedan? Maybe this video will help you decide.

Both are top-of-the-line V8 saloons, both are non-German, and both have stupid infotainment systems; and the non-similarities stop here, though, because two predators have quite different specialties.

The CTS-V uses a 640 hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8 (also found in the Corvette) and sits on a very neat Alpha platform (read: sporty), while the mouthy GS F is pushed around in style by a 5.0-liter atmospheric V8, boasting 467 horsepower. Oh, I just remembered another thing they have in common: faulty automatic transmissions. Caddy’s 8-speed automatic is lazy, and Lexus’ eight-speed box is “geared as a five-speed”.

On the road, Lexus gets praised for its chassis’ fluidity, but how does it stand against its steroidal American rival on the track, you’d ask.

Well, we are not going to spoil it ALL for you now, just see for yourself in this entertaining Head 2 Head clip.
