Ah, the magical powers of GPS
It might sound creepy, but in reality, it's not. A lot of things happen once you buy a car from Koenigsegg, but they are all in the name of customer satisfaction.
CarBuzz had a chat with Christian von Koenigsegg at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, and the Koenigsegg commander in chief had some interesting things to say about the Koenigsegg Owners App.
Besides these, Mr. von Koenigsegg revealed that he has a special app installed on his smartphone which allows him to know "where every single GPS-equipped Koenigsegg hypercar is currently located on the planet." And apparently, they appear as orange dots on a black background.
If that's not enough to spook you – by the way, it really shouldn't – he also mentioned that technically speaking, Koenigsegg could plant a camera inside their cars to see the drivers.
Now, we've been telling you not to worry for a reason. It's a custom practice for Christian von Koenigsegg to gain a lot of insight coming from owners, learn from their feedback and improve the product. No Big Brother shennanigans to see here, then.
