Corvette AeroWagen Will Become a Reality This Year!

Callaway Cars announced they will start making conversions for Chevrolet Corvette models.

It's been so long since you've seen the first images with a fastback Corvette that it is possible to have forgotten about it. Let us remind you briefly.

In 2013, Callaway Cars proposed a fastback conversion for the Corvette, one that was more than well received by the world. And now, they just announced this operation is possible and will be made to whomever wants to transform its great-looking Corvette in an even-greater-looking Corvette, one that's also more practical and more aerodynamic.

According to autoblog.com, Callaway Cars founder Reeves Callaway stated that direct sales will start after some preliminary tests are made, and the teams gather some experience performing the conversions. Expect sales to begin by this year's end.

The new roof is carbon fiber made, so there's no extra weight to the car –– on the contrary, there is expected the car will be lighter after the conversion. Besides adding extra storage space, the rooftop's line will also decrease the car's drag coefficient –– the figures are going to be made public once the preliminary tests are finished.

And the best part for the aching owners: the operation is expected to be cheaper than was initially stated. $7k cheaper, to be more precise. Callaway said that AeroWagen's price will be "less than $15,000."

Basically, you have no actual excuse not to do this modification to your Corvette.
