Volkswagen's enthusiasm-free approach on design range gets a helping hand from Oettinger, yet the upgrade only applies to performance Golf models.
One of the goodies brought by the new kit involves a quad-exhaust stainless steel setup with 84 mm pipes and sound-altering mufflers for the Golf GTD and GTI. The R version ups the ante with valve control.
Housing the tailpipes is a new rear diffuser assisted in its aerodynamic purposes by a rear roof spoiler with open flaps.
Up front, the package brings a new splitter-spoiler duo tasked with guiding air under the car, but the hardware comes at a price.
For now, Oettinger's aero kit is available at VW UK dealerships priced at £3,995 for the Golf GTD and GTI, and £5,225 for the Golf R.
According to the tuner, these prices include VAT plus the painting and fitting expenses.
