Euro NCAP: Results are in for eight models, all score five stars

A new batch of new cars underwent Euro NCAP’s crash tests and each and every model came out with a top five-star rating.

The likes of Volvo XC60, Citroën C3 Aircross, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Opel/Vauxhall Crossland X, Skoda Karoq, VW T-Roc, VW Polo and Seat Arona took Euro NCAP’s crash tests and passed with flying colors.

By far the most impressive conduct came from the Volvo XC60, a model that scored 98% in the adult occupant department and 95% when it came to safety assist. These almost-perfect ratings were backed up by a score of 87% for child occupant protection and 76% for pedestrian protection.

VW Group’s crossovers also impressed in the adult occupant protection score, managing to snatch ratings of 93% Skoda Karoq, 95% (Seat Arona) and 96% (VW T-Roc). Mitsubishi’s new Eclipse Cross came just after the XC60, with an adult occupant protection score of 97%.
