Visual changes will be minimal, but more power is expected to be added
BMW is readying a lightly updated version of its hot M2, the smallest of its Motorsport branded models. With the LCI (life cycle impulse), the automaker is looking to bring the M2 in line with its latest offerings, like the 5-Series.
The M2 will get new light clusters front and back, new bumpers, a new rear diffuser and most likely different rims.
Its engine will also feature some sort of updates, as the M2 is not all that much faster than the firm’s M140i and M240i models. The N55 six-cylinder single-turbo unit will be kept and not swapped out for the newer B58, some extra oomph will most likely be added.
The M2 facelift will probably be revealed at the Geneva motor show where rumor says we may also see the surprise reveal of a stiffened, hardened M2 CSL.
