A hardcore BMW aficionado created the perfect family wagon – if a 900-horsepower 335i is what you'd call "perfect," that is.
A 335i is not what you'd call "dull" by any means – its 3.0-liter inline-six engine boasts 302 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. It can do 0-to-60 in some five seconds, and it can carry your family (and a lot of stuff) around. It's a good family car.
But that depends on the family, of course. This Dutch dude Marco, for example, he thought about upgrading it a bit. So after mixing a competition 30-psi (2.5-bar) twin-scroll turbo with a bunch of other custom high-performance pieces (custom manifold, custom downpipe & exhaust, custom intercooler) Marco's 335i reached the 900 hp mark.
From his YouTube channel videos, this was an incremental process – a sign the man loves its car and grows with it. That's why he's going to replace the 6465 1.0 A/r twin-scroll turbo unit with a Garrett – the current turbo's seal is failing, leading to that blue, unhealthy white smoke.
