The show has been off the air for three years now
Tiff Needell has taken to his Twitter to announce that the Fifth Gear automotive show is returning this September. He will be hosting the show set to air on Quest TV alongside Jason Plato.
Needell tweeted “Did some filming yesterday for a new series of … @FifthGearTV!! Yes, after a three year break we’re back for more in September” and when asked about Plato, replied “We were both smoking tyres yesterday…”
The show has been off the air for three years, since May 2016, when it featured four co-hosts; aside from the two above, Vicky Butler Henderson and Jonny Smith are also going to be part of the show.
Vicky tweeted about filming for the show resuming, confirming both her and Smith as co-hosts.
To all these presenters’ tweets, the fan reaction is strongly positive, with many saying that they’re happy the show is returning; we are too and until then we leave you with some of our favorite clips from the show.
