First Honda Civic Type R FK8 reviews are in and they’re positive

It was hard to get it wrong, after Honda gave us the excellent FK2 Type R

Turns out all journos invited to the new Honda Civic Type R track test event in Germany more or less loved the car. For some it wasn’t perfect, but they still acknowledged the things it does well, one of which is the perfomance.

Some were not won over by the FK8’s engine note which is nowhere near as raucous and parpy as that of other high-powered hot hatch rivals, but again, the performance made them overlook this.

What they did notice was just how much more compliant the ride is in the new FK8 – and I can confirm that the regular new Civic is more comfortable than the regular old Civic by a big margin, and that probably stands true for the Type R as well.
