Just as strong and handsome but not as capable

In the pursuit of making a Ranger for every taste, Ford just presented the Ranger Wildtrak X, a Raptor lookalike wearing the Performance Blue paint.

Unlike the Black Edition, the Wildtrak X bears black just here and there — the grille, roof rails, side steps, and wheels have been blacked out — a trim successfully applied on the Raptor version. The Wildtrak X’s interior is enhanced as well, sporting black leather with grey stitching.

However, the similarities stop here, as the Wildtrak X isn’t as well prepared, tech-wise, as the Raptor for going off-road. The engine, however, is almost on par with Raptor’s: the Wildtrak X’s 3.2-liter five-cyl diesel comes prepared with 200 metric horsepower (147 kW) and 470 Newton-meter (347 lb-ft) of torque, and is mated to a six-speed auto and four-wheel drive.

The Wildtrak X is already available to order, with deliveries starting August 2018.
