GM’s Valet Mode Can Be a Dealership Employee’s Worst Enemy

It proves once again it’s worth every penny

General Motor's Valet Mode seemed just another awesome technology that you're never going to use in real life. When activated, is starts recording via a 720p front camera while a Performance Data Recorder is registering speed, engine RPM, gear selection and g-force activity.

GM described it as a "baby monitor for your car," which, in the case of Corvette owners, just couldn't be a better portrayal. The only ones who didn't hear of Valet Mode are the valets (or other automotive-related businesses' employees, for that matter).

Take this dealership technician, for example. He simply takes a client's Corvette (brought there for servicing) for a joyride, acting like an asshat repeatedly violating traffic rules.

What's more concerning is the fact the dealership offered "offered nothing more than a rude apology to make it right."
