Here’s another chance to own an extremely rare Italdesign Zerouno Duerta

Mind you, the roadster is a bit more expensive than the hardtop

Last year, Italdesign showed us what an Audi R8 can look like if it's made by Italians. The Zerouno charmed the riches with its edginess, so all five units were quickly commissioned, despite the $1.6m price tag.

This year, the Italdesign stand at the Geneva Motor Show featured the Zerouno again, this time in a slightly different guise: as an open-top. It's called Zerouno Duerta and is basically the same car we've seen last year, except the removable roof part and the redesigned engine cover.

That means it has an Audi R8 5.2-liter V10 naturally-aspirated heart sitting on an Audi R8 chassis wrapped in carbon fiber. Without saying just how much weight the Zerouno gained during the roof removing process, Italdesign praises on the car's top speed of over 199 mph (320 km/h).

You can narrow the circle in the game of figures by comparing the roadster to the previous year's coupé version. We know the hardtop (which runs the same 610-hp, 413 lb-ft/560 Nm V10 unit) is good for 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds, and a 205 mph (330 km/h) top speed.

Now, the bad news: the price tag might be a bit disheartening: each one of the five Zerouno Duerta asks for around $2.4m. If you're not in the collecting garage queens business, here's a tip for you: for a tenth of Zerouno Duerta's price you can have the Huracán Performante Spyder alternative. We know it's mainstream but it does the job.
