Here’s How an Imaginative Designer Sees Porsche’s Le Mans Racer

We would definitely want to see this thing in flesh

The last time we’ve shown you a dreams-rooted Porsche, it was a 908-04 created by a multinational team of six members. It was also a reminder why Electronic Arts (the game development studio) sucks by not letting anyone else use Porsche in games.

Now, that restrictive deal is about to end, so we should expect to see Porsche in every important title — including, of course, the next Gran Turismo game; Although that would require Porsche’s involvement in the gaming world. So until we see a Porsche Vision Gran Turismo, we can gaze upon the creations of talented designers, such as Alexander Imnadze.

What you’ll find in the gallery above is his latest creation, GT Vision 906/917, a Le Mans 24h racer inspired by the former iconic Porsches to run in the prestigious endurance race.

As the name suggests, the muses are, in this case, the 906 and the 917. It might not be as dramatic as the 904-08 concept we’ve feasted our eyes with this past summer, but seeing it rendered on a circuit makes us believe it’s feasible for the real world, as a replacement for the successful 919 Hybrid.

Again, we barely wait to see what Porsche is going to bring into the Gran Turismo arena.
