Hyundai Teases Race-Ready Gurnade Veloster Concept Before SEMA Show Debut

It’s one of the most extreme interpretations of the Veloster we’ve seen so far

Hyundai has teamed up with automotive design specialist Gurnade Inc to develop a race-ready Veloster for this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas (November 1-4).

The Gurnade Veloster Concept's main feature is the aggressive aero kit that includes integrated flares, front splitter, racing canards, three-piece lightweight forged 19-inch wheels, and a custom rear spoiler.

Inside, the custom Hyundai Veloster features a racing-inspired cockpit that includes Cobra Nogaro racing seats, Takata racing harnesses, and Pierce Motorsports roll cage. A carbon-fiber steering wheel, Creative Car-Tunes audio system, and Phoenix Gold subwoofer and amplifier complete the interior changes.

The tuned Veloster also features mechanical upgrades such as an 845 Motorsports intercooler, downpipe, cold-air intake, and ECU tune. The package includes a Synapse blow-off valve and ARK Performance cat-back exhaust as well.

The chassis has been enhanced too, gaining NEO Motorsports coil-overs, a 6-piston big brake kit, as well as Pierce Motorsports strut bar, rear torsion bar, and tie brace. Finally, the Gurnade Veloster Concept rides on Rotiform 19-inch OZT three-piece forged wheels shod with Toyo competition-spec tires.
