The 918 played a big influencer role on the new Panamera’s interior. And it won’t stop here
It’s good to see the super-expensive 918’s legacy has moved down to more accessible Porsche models.
Take Panamera’s cockpit, for example. It looks super-sci-fi, and it can make you think that you’re in some kind of a 918 four-seater.
Well, the news is the 2016 Panamera is going to borrow much more than the hi-tech cabin from its super-fast sibling. Like the hybrid technology, for example. Motor Trend reports that the top-of-the-line Panamera will use a hybridized variant of the 4.0-liter V8 found on the Turbo, developing some whopping 700 hp and 800 lb-ft of torque.
To be honest, it’s a little hard even to process this kind of info. I mean, 700 hp of hybrid magic on a stock sedan? Bring it, Porsche! BRING IT!
