Infiniti puts a price on 2017 QX80 Signature Edition

Buy this one or wait for the all-new QX80 next year?

Infiniti has announced pricing information for the 2017 QX80 Signature Edition that debuted at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this year.

Combining popular equipment and unique design features, the special edition SUV starts at $67,335 for the 2WD model and $70,435 for the 4WD version (excluding $995 destination and handling). According to Infiniti, the content packaging reflects a $2,500 savings compared to the cost of those items if purchased separately.

So what are those features, you ask? For starters, the 2017 Infiniti QX80 Signature Edition sports unique exterior details including chrome side mirror caps, dark-finish 22-inch alloy wheels, and clear stop light. There are four body colors to choose from: Hermosa Blue, Graphic Shadow, Black Obsidian, and Majestic White.

Inside, the big luxury SUV offers a leather-appointed, high-contrast Saddle Tan cabin, as well as a suite of driver assistance features, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Backup Collision Intervention, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, and more.

As with the regular QX80, the Signature Edition is available as a seven- or eight-passenger vehicle, in 2WD and 4WD versions. There's a single engine choice, a 400 hp 5.6-liter V8. All-wheel-drive models feature a computer-controlled transfer case and three settings (Auto, 4H, and 4L).

If you're not very fond of the current QX80's looks, we'd advise you to wait for the next-generation model which will borrow heavily from the QX80 Monograph concept.
