Infiniti Q60 Flaunts Sexy Production-Ready Body At NAIAS

It looks just as sexy as the concept that previewed it

Infiniti let slip that it wasn’t going to change the Q60 coupe too much in its transition from concept to series model and it seems to have stuck to its word. The production-ready Q60 is desperately pretty and not as over-the-top as some other coupe design proposals shown at the Detroit auto show.

Which rival offerings is Infiniti looking to pit it against? Well, those’d be the BMW 4-Series, the Audi A5 or Lexus’ RC neither of which can hold a candle to the Q60 in terms of panache and pizzaz.

The Q60 looks almost Italian thanks to its sculpted, voluptuous flanks and classy, restrained detailing.

Public reaction to the car confirms we’re not the only ones who feel this way about it, and we’re also pleased about the performance it also promises to deliver.

Engine choices will at first be limited to either a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol unit with 211 hp or a twin-turbo V6 that can be had in two states of tune: 304 hp and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) or 405 hp and 475 Nm / 350 lb-ft.

Additional data (like actual performance numbers, price and version specifications) on the model is currently scarce, but it will be made available closer to the car’s showroom debut expected to take place this fall.
