Jannarelly’s Design-1 Comes as Roadster and Coupé, But You Want the Latter

Hint: clamshell-style roof

When it comes to getting in and out of your car, the solutions vary from gullwing doors to no doors at all, but a clamshell-like roof is something else.

Enter the Jannarelly Design-1, a car that wants to be a tribute for the 60s car lovers and which is described as "inspired from the world of Petrolicious, Jay Leno's garage, Magnus Walker."

That sounds cool and all, but the real pot-sweetener here is the front-hinged hardtop offered by the coupé. By the way, you can also opt for a roadster version, but in our book, the hardtop is the dandy choice here.

Under the lightweight carbon-fiber body (tipping the scales at just 780 kg), customers can specify a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine churning out 304 hp. The proposition looks tempting for track days, but Road and Track says Jannarelly will fit any engine you wish under the hood.

Additionally, a road pack is also available (featuring headlamps, LED indicators and the lot) but your money would be best spent on the 2017 Special Edition launching options that include a carbon fiber aerokit, aeroscreen and full-leather interior.
