Just listen to this 2019 Hyundai Veloster N sing its exhaust out

It’s a pre-production model but it can surely bring the noise

Earlier this year, Hyundai dropped the new 2019 Veloster in Detroit with the same familiar door configuration: two on the right, one on the left, plus the boot hatch. But the Koreans also pimped it with a hotter N version.

You can get your 2019 Hyundai Veloster dose here, but for now let's concentrate on the Veloster N. The performance version employs a 2-liter four-cylinder engine slapped with a turbocharger – in fact, it's the same powerplant getting the Hyundai i30 N in motion.

Power output stands at 275 hp unleashed at 6,000 rpm and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) available from as low as 1,450 rpm. The Veloster N also features a bucketload of spicy gimmicks, like a special suspension setup, a limited-slip diff, larger brakes and a smart six-speed manual that also handles rev-matching during downshifts.

Of course, the visual and acoustic experiences do play an important role here. And while we've seen plenty of pictures of the new Hyundai Veloster N, its voice was yet to be recorded.

Well, lucky us. TheStraightPipes got their hands on a pre-production Veloster N mule so they tried out its vocal side. And boy, we love what's coming out of those tailpipes. Hear it out:

Getting worked up by the video? You can try the new Hyundai Veloster N in Forza Motorsport 7. You're welcome.
